EASTWINDS AXPLOSION

EASTWINDS AXPLOSION is a pure white Arabian stallion born in 1993, sired by SIMEON SA'AR (UK) from the mare AMIRA BINT ESPERANZA.
He is an individual of incredible attitude; a true stallion when shown, an amazing and amenable breeding horse, and a totally tractable companion.
Axplosion is one of the finest international examples of the Spanish Egyptian cross, which has been represented around the globe by such outstanding individuals as; EL SHAKLAN, ESTASHA, IBN ESTOPA, EL MASRA, SANADIK EL SHAKLAN, MALEIK EL KHEIL, SHEREM EL SHEIK, ATLANTICA, IBN ESTASHA etc.
Axplosion's sire, SA'AR, was one of the first offspring of the multi-national and international champion El SHAKLAN. SA'AR’s dam is the MARBACH bred DAMIRAH (Germany), an Australian national champion granddaughter of NAZEER. SA'AR himself was an incredibly successful halter champion and as a veteran was national stud show champion for Eastwinds under Guy Fontaine (France), an award he had previously won as a youngster under Ron Pallelek (USA). SA'AR has been a major sire in Australia, a producer of champions at every level. We believe Axplosion is his best.
AMIRA BINT ESPERANZA dam of Axplosion is one of a group of incredible siblings which include three Australian national champions. Her brother ESPIRATION was an Australian national champion at halter, in harness and in costume when exhibited by Eastwinds. These siblings are by leading Australian sire AMIR EL SHAKLAN (imp) whose get include US national champion FAIRVIEW KLASSIQUE. Their dam Esperanza (UK) was bred at LODGE FARM in England by the Maxwell family and is the leading producer of major halter champions in Australia.
Axplosion's sire and grand-sire are both by the immortal EL SHAKLAN whilst EL SHAKLAN himself and the mare Esperanza are both grandchildren of MORAFIC (Egypt) by NAZEER and TABAL (Spain) by CONGO. Thus in his immediate pedigree Axplosion combines three crosses to both MORAFIC and TABAL - generations of planned breeding, producing great beauty, form and function, and an intensity of hybrid vigour which has ensured success for a whole dynasty.
Axplosion's full brother Eastwinds AXIOM was sold to New Zealand after his first season. AXIOM became New Zealand national champion and has sired several offspring which have become national champions in both New Zealand and Australia. Before leaving Eastwinds AXIOM sired the premier brood mare BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY who began her career as Supreme (AA) Champion as a two year old under Bruce McCrae (Saudi Arabia) and finished as East Coast champion under Christina Jamal (Belgium). Another full brother, AXULTATION, was acquired by one of Australia's major studs RIVER OAK as an out-crossed Sire, he has also enjoyed great success.
As a sire, Axpolsion has stood at private stud with a limited number of progeny. He has produced some wonderful offspring, champions and reserves at East Coast and National show level as well as numerous National top tens. The best are certainly waiting to begin their careers. At her last Australian assignment Brazillian breeder Lenita Perroy, awarded the junior female championship to an Axplosion yearling. It is worth noting that Axplosion has also sired successful endurance and dressage horses, with a lifetime total of around only 40 foals. As a show horse Axplosions career has been interrupted by the farm owners four year break from exhibiting (for health reasons). This year (2005-2006), with little preparation he resumed his career. Already champion at the East Coast and National top ten, in November 2005 he was awarded National Stud Show Champion Stallion under Mark Ismer (Germany) and in January 2006 he was awarded Supreme Champion Entire at the Feature show under Mr Jay Constanti of the world famous OMELARAB Farm in California. He was recently named Top Ten Australian National Champion and it is worth noting that the current Australian national champion stood “reserve” to Axplosion at the November Stud Show.
As an Arabian Champion, Axplosion is his own best ambassador – always a crowd favourite when shown and always admired by our fellow breeders.
Pure white with a classic head and huge black eye he stands 15.3 hands high. Like his progenitor EL SHAKLAN he is long legged and very short backed with an excellent loin and level top line which does not need the help of any trainer! His tail is naturally high set and always carried high. He has a wonderful shoulder and a very high neck. For such a large horse, his bone is refined and his movement and attitude are excellent.
The intensity of the blood of MORAFIC and TABAL have created a special horse of the desert in Axplosion, a true SEGLAWI Arabian stallion. At Eastwinds we have had the good fortune to have been associated with many world class Arabian horses and have had the opportunity to view the best around the world over the last 25 years. We believe this stallion, a mature and confident individual would be at home with the best of the best.
